Located right in the city center next to Town Hall, the Ludwig Erhard Zentrum brings to life the life and work of the Fürth-born Chancellor and “Father of the Social Market Economy.” Interactive exhibits, modern multimedia stations, and original sites, such as Erhard’s birthplace, make the museum a vibrant hub for political education and contemporary history.
The story of the Kissinger family
The large special exhibition HENRY. WORLD INFLUENCER NO. 1 is dedicated to the former U.S. Secretary of State and Nobel laureate Henry Kissinger, who was born in Fürth 100 years ago. The show invites you to get to know the moving story of the Jewish family Kissinger from Fürth. From a happy childhood, through fleeing from the Nazis, bitter exile in the USA and ultimately to the unbelievable ascent of Henry Kissinger and his brother Walter in America. You will find the exhibition on the 2nd floor of the Ludwig Erhard Zentrum.
The Jewish Museum Franconia
The Jewish Museum Franconia in Fürth is dedicated to the rich history and culture of Jewish life in Franconia. In a historic building, visitors can explore artifacts from everyday Jewish life, from a historic sukkah to a ritual mikveh. The exhibitions combine regional history with personal insights, making the museum an important place for remembrance and understanding.
