Jewish history

Stones that speak volumes

Grabsteine im Alten Jüdischen Friedhof mit düsterem Licht

A visit to Fürth’s Jewish cemetery will leave you with a lasting impression of its solemn atmosphere. Many famous rabbis such as Meshulam Salman Kohn or charitable patrons such as the founder of the first infants’ hospital in Bavaria, Alfred Nathan, were buried here. The old gravestones tell us a lot about the history of the Jewish community in Fürth.
