Three markets you'll love!
Three Christmas markets, each unique in its own way, delight thousands of people every year and make visitors' eyes light up.
Fürth Christmas Market
November 27 to December 23, 2025
In 2024, the Christmas Market on Fürther Freiheit, together with the Medieval Market, was voted the most popular in the region in a survey conducted by the media company Verlag Nürnberger Presse. The reason is simple: in contrast to the world-famous Christkindlesmarkt in the neighboring city of Nuremberg, you can stroll through the market here in a relaxed atmosphere and enjoy your mulled wine or eggnog by the warm fire.
Both the culinary offerings and the many original gift ideas are sure to delight. Children will enjoy the rustic chain carousel, the small train ride, and the friendly, smiling Santa Claus who speaks at the push of a button. Choirs and music groups create a festive atmosphere. Just a few steps across the Fürther Markt will bring you directly to the impressive Christmas Pyramid at the Dr. Konrad-Adenauer-Anlage, where delicious hot drinks warm cold hands.
Entrance fee
Admission to the Christmas Market is free of charge.

Fürth Medieval Market
November 27 to December 23, 2025
Since 2010, this lovingly designed market, with its historic stalls on Fürther Freiheit, has been attracting visitors with craftsmen, jugglers, fire artists, and stilt walkers.
Around 24 medieval stalls, from candle makers to glass and metal artists, woodworkers, tailors, potters, and felt makers, invite visitors to marvel at their wares. One highlight is the bathing tub, where the brave can take a dip and enjoy a cup of mead. Food and drinks based on traditional recipes are available to satisfy your appetite. There is salmon grilled over an open fire, soup and stews from large vats, and fresh handmade bread.
This year, exciting acts and musicians will once again perform on the medieval market stage. There is a separate program for children every day (Mon-Fri from around 3:00 p.m., Sat/Sun from around 11:30 a.m.) with the “excellent” jugglers from UN POCO LOCO.

Old Town Christmas
December 5 to 14, 2025
For ten days, the Old Town Christmas Market on the idyllic Waagplatz square is filled with pure Christmas spirit!
Traditional crafts are very important here. The blacksmith and glassblower work on site, inviting visitors to watch or try their hand at these crafts. The many small stalls attract visitors with unusual goods and provide numerous ideas for small Christmas gifts. Professional manufacturers and hobby artists offer jewelry, ceramic products, wood art, and Christmas decorations such as candles and lanterns.
The small stage offers a varied program of music, from children's choirs to jazz sessions, covering a wide repertoire. The Old Town Christmas Market is creative, original, cozy, and, above all, not as commercial as many other markets.
