Christmas tales of Fürth

At the end of the 19th century, two guards were on duty in the town hall bell tower, whose job it was to report when there was a fire somewhere. They sat in the chamber above the bell room and had a view of the whole town. The gentlemen were well-known to everyone because at Christmas time they had a fir tree lit up in the tower room above the skyline of Fürth. Stories like these as well as Franconian traditions around Christmas are told by the tour guides on this walk through the lovingly decorated old town.
