Comödie Fürth has been a theatre and restaurant for more than 20 years, and above all, it is the home stage of Fürth's most famous citizens, Volker Heissmann and Martin Rassau, vaudeville entertainers who have their audiences rolling in their seats with laughter. The two also regularly invite famous stars of the German stage, cabaret and comedy scene to appear at the theatre. Good entertainment is guaranteed. A visit is worthwhile even if you do not speak German. A visit is worthwhile, since everyone can appreciate the delicious local beer and Franconian cuisine in the Grüner Brauhaus.
Comödie Fürth and the Grüner Brauhaus are located in one of the city’s most interesting art nouveau buildings, the so-called Berolzheimerianum. Built in 1906 by Jewish pencil manufacturer and honorary citizen, Heinrich Berolzheimer, this magnificent building long served as an adult education facility and library at the founder’s wish.
