The "Michaelis Kirchweih" is undisputedly the most important event in Fürth's calendar. It's the combination that makes it: it's a fair and a market at the same time. People come from all over the region to the "Fädder Kärwa" - as they say in Franconian. After all, it is over 900 years old. On this guided tour, the historical roots are explored, many curiosities are told about the most famous of all fairs in Franconia, not to forget the story that the council of the Empire City of Nuremberg did not want its citizens to attend the Kirchweih.
