MONOKINI gibt es schon ziemlich lange, seit 1999 um genau zu sein. Seitdem machen die fünf recht unterschiedlichen Herren die eine, großartige Sache, auf die sie sich einigen können: Surf. Musik mit Elektrogitarren und ohne Gesang, dafür mit großen Melodien, Um-Zacka-Um-Zack, Twang und Reverb, garniert mit Orgel und Trompeten. Musik die Bilder malt von Wellen und Weltraum, von Western und Agenten, und die mitten in der Easy-Listening-Party lässig das Gaspedal durch die Fußmatte tritt.
